Owners Dr. Ann and Sue Wigodsky began hosting private events at Sunrise Point in 2014. Now, the 3-acre peninsula with panoramic views of Cedar Creek Lake’s legendary sunsets is available to everyone as an event venue for weddings, gatherings, family reunions, and celebrations.

Sunrise Point is the only lakefront venue on Cedar Creek Lake. You’ll have easy access to the lake from any place on the property.

Wedding Venue

The property offers multiple location options for wedding ceremonies, and the East Deck is perfect for dancing to DJs or live bands. The West Deck offers lovely lake views for smaller luncheons, bridal showers, or dinner parties. DR. ANN WIGODSKY

VISIONARY and CO-OWNER

Dr. Ann Wigodsky is a retired clinical psychologist who loves the water, and nature.

After living in the concrete jungle for decades, she now calls Sunrise Point her home and playground. Annie’s days consist of spoiling the native wildlife; deer, duck, and occasional fox personally delivering hundreds of pounds of corn to strategic spots each and every day.

Her favorite toy on this 3-acre playground, though, is her SCAG mower. Twice a week, you can see Ann mowing the peninsula row by row, with a smile on her face and empowering songs playing in her ears. She finishes each day enjoying the sunset, being at peace, and feeling the serenity with her wife, Sue.

SUE FRY-WIGODSKY

HEART OF THE PROPERTY and CO-OWNER

After years of traveling for her corporate event business, Sue Fry-Wigodsky retired and calls the shoreline of Sunrise Point her home. With the hustle of large-scale corporate event planning in her rear-view, Sue is our touchstone when it comes to the guest experience. Her focus on the guest is always front and center.

Sue shares her heart through hospitality – to our guests, friends, or family. She enjoys hosting their friend’s lakeside with local wine and personally prepared dinners.

When she is not volunteering for local non-profits planning their fundraisers or serving on their boards, you can find Sue on the back patio overlooking the lake with a new read from her book club.

CASEY LEE – GENERAL MANAGER

Casey is an East Texas native who thrives in nature. Of her many passions, she enjoys exploring by road tripping to Texas’s many state parks with either her kayak, mountain bike, or her hiking boots.

With her trusted Canon camera in hand, she documents each visit in images and shares it on social media to motivate others to get out, discover new things and make memories. Casey typically explores solo, but sometimes she has her co-pilot, her husband, Josh. They share two fur-babies, a rescued English Bulldog, Tank, and rescued pit bull, Jezzy.

Our dream is to offer a Sunrise Point Intern Program committed to providing young adults within the Cedar Creek Lake community a year-long paid hospitality internship. We believe education and mentoring are crucial to opening doors for their future. Our internship combines hands-on working in the hospitality space with life skills training. The hospitality training will include practical and transferable skills such as processing reservations, customer service, event planning, and working with vendors. Life skills training involves learning how to manage money, work as a team, solve problems, and communicate.
