“Unique – Hospitable – Tranquil My wife and I chose this listing for a weekend getaway. It is an ideal distance from DFW and the property itself is stunning. The owners’ are warm and thoughtful hosts, supplying everything from blankets to microwavable popcorn. We enjoyed the artwork in our bungalow but the focal piece of the space is the floor-to-ceiling window. We felt like we were sitting among the deer and songbirds on the property as we sat in our beds. This is a delightful option for those hoping to relax and reconnect, we’re thankful we found it.”

The owners were on-site, but we only saw them when we needed the hot tub turned on. She showed us how to use it, then made us one of the best margaritas we’ve ever had. Five stars all the way, we are tough to impress and we cannot wait to return. And that’s with having the worst possible weather conditions, we still had the best time. We have friends and family lined up waiting for their turns! Book it. You won’t be disappointed.”

We traveled 90 minutes south east of Dallas to discover a true gem! Our long weekend away was filled with rest, relaxation and reconnections. Sunrise Point is comprised of four modern cottages which are very carefully designed to meet your needs while away from home. The floor to ceiling windows provide unobstructed views of Cedar Creek Lake. The local animals (birds, deer, raccoons, squirrels) were a marvelous change from the rustle and bustle of city life. Ann was a great hostess and super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back, I loved my time. PS There is an EV charger on property!!!

Ann and Sue have thought of everything guests would need/want for a wonderful get away. Such attention to detail. They even gave us a wonderful tour of their home and shared many personal stories. We felt so welcome. Our group can’t wait to return. It’s a lovely place. And Casey, the office manager, was so professional, efficient and friendly. You’ve forgot to go experience it to believe it!

“From the moment I drove past the Sunrise Point sign and saw the beautiful lake views I felt immediately relaxed and knew I was in for two wonderful and relaxing days! The Bluebird cottage was everything I had hoped for and so much more. There were breathtaking views of the lake and trees from inside thanks to the floor to ceiling windows, and from the back patio I had a front row seat for two spectacular sunsets. The cottage was beautifully decorated and the amenities were first class. Sunrise Point is the perfect getaway for a solo trip, girls trip, romantic trip for two or couples trip with some of your favorite friends! Thank you to the owners and GM, Sue, Annie and Casey. This was such a remarkable visit. My wife and I love to travel, and we never thought one of our favorite places would be in our home state of Texas. Everything was perfect. The owners put in a lot of work to make their guests feel welcomed and relaxed during their visit. It was very clean and every little detail of this airbnb was well-thought of. The other guests were respectful and nice, and we ended up making some life-long friends. Our stay was so phenomenal that we would love to make this our yearly get-away.
