“Unique – Hospitable – Tranquil My wife and I chose this listing for a weekend getaway. It is an ideal distance from DFW and the property itself is stunning. The owners’ are warm and thoughtful hosts, supplying everything from blankets to microwavable popcorn. We enjoyed the artwork in our bungalow but the focal piece of the space is the floor-to-ceiling window. We felt like we were sitting among the deer and songbirds on the property as we sat in our beds. This is a delightful option for those hoping to relax and reconnect, we’re thankful we found it.”

Where do I even start? If there were an option to give 6 stars, I’m not sure it would be enough! My girlfriend and I needed a weekend getaway, not too far from Austin. Casey, Ann, and Sue have created an absolutely beautiful retreat-style oasis at Sunrise Point. From the lakefront views to the aesthetically flawless cottage details, down to the Turkish Cotton linens, everything about this stay promoted rest, relaxation, and escape from the noise of everyday life! I had high expectations based on other reviews and they were all exceeded! In the words of Anne & Sue, “you arrive at Sunrise Point as a guest but you leave as family”, and it’s true. Such a lovely place to stay, and truly amazing people worth knowing. We can’t wait to return and bring our friends.

The owners were on-site, but we only saw them when we needed the hot tub turned on. She showed us how to use it, then made us one of the best margaritas we’ve ever had.
